Thomas and Tobias weren’t happy with car journey over to the new house, Thomas tried to hide in the same tube as Tobias but didn’t fit.

They’re happy that they can sunbathe again and squish themselves in to the corner as soon as the sun touches the cage.

We’ve moved house and Thomas and Tobias decided that they don’t like the tap water here and stopped drinking. They’re currently on bottled water which they’re happy drinking, tap water will be mixed in gradually and hopefully they’ll get used to the taste.

Based on what I’ve read it’s fine to give degus tap water so long as it’s safe for human consumption; if I filtered or otherwise treated the water before drinking it myself I would do the same for the degus. It would depend on the water quality of where you live. Thomas and Tobias are just being fussy, the little guys are all still happily drinking the tap water.
