Hi! Degus are related to chinchillas and guinea pigs. They’re bigger than hamsters (about a handful), so they need more space, they’re very active and enjoy running and climbing. Degus are social so they need to live in groups. They’re generally friendly but how much they like being handled depends on the individual. They’re diurnal (awake during the day) and they’re herbivores. And they’re the best (but I might be a little bit biased).
