Thomas trying to eat a small pepper – to start with he was confused with how to eat something so round.
I gave the little guys two small peppers, Scott and Jack each took one. Scott ran off to a corner to eat his and was left in peace. Daniel and Sam chased Jack around the cage trying to get his pepper.
I took Jack’s pepper and broke it in to three pieces and offered one to Daniel and Sam who looked completely disinterested. Jack came over and grabbed it out of my hand and said “I’ll take that back now, that was mine!”.
Daniel and Sam only wanted the pepper because Jack had it, they weren’t actually at all interested in eating it. Silly degus.
It was going to be a cute photo of all four little guys lined up, but they had other ideas.
Beetroot is definitely their favourite fresh food.
