funny – Page 4 – Silly Degu

One click buying might be useful in theory, but in practice touchscreens respond to degu paws and I’m glad I’d already switched it off.

Degu being awkward about how he wants to be fed: hey I don’t make the rules, I just eat them

Some silly habits my degus have:
– wants nuggets broken in half even though they ate them whole last time. Now any whole nuggets will be taken and buried for later.
– no, not that half nugget, that one was broken in half this morning, I want one that’s been halved now.
– nuggets are weighed out in separate, identical bowls but I don’t want any nuggets from that bowl, but I’ll take them from any other bowl
– I’m hungry but will only eat if you feed me while I’m in the cage. Yes, I know I ate outside the cage yesterday but today I’m not going to.
– I’ll only eat nuggets after I’ve had my pea flake.
– nuggets offered from a hand are better than nuggets in a bowl.
– I’ll only eat if I’m in your hoodie/dressing gown.
– I’ll only eat if you’re holding me.

I love when degus run away to eat in a corner so that the others can’t get their food but they all go to the same corner

Who’s a clever boy? I don’t know but it’s certainly not Sam who’s trying to tidy the hammock away in to the hammock 😂

Thomas and Tobias were sat in my lap and I asked them to jump up to my shoulders – they took a moment, looked at each other, swapped sides because they were the wrong way round (Tobias will still only sit on my left shoulder) and then jumped up.

I was trying to clean out the cage and Tobias wouldn’t leave so I pointed the camera at him

I moved the microwave and it squeaked and, um, one of the degus squeaked back 😂

Some muppet (me) left the peg used to hold Daniel’s cage door open on the floor while Sam was out for his run and of course he decided it needed tidying away as he always does (see the ‘little thief’ tag)

Mine. Mine. Mi- why won’t this move?!
