Silly habit: When Pickle runs he stops abruptly and goes flying back in the wheel like halfway. And then he keeps doing it.
How clever are they: He is lacking in the smarts department but seems to understand “do you wanna go out?” And will either jump into my hand for a ride out of the cage or stay put.
Do you have them trained or do they have you trained: I have to say that I got him trained. He used to be a big mess lol.
Random fact: The first time I saw Pickle he had trouble climbing into his food bowl because he was so small.
Silly habit: When he wants something like food he’ll beg by folding his ears flat against his head (Baby Babushka) and poke his nose out through the bars
How clever are they: Too clever for his own good
Do you have them trained or do they have you trained: Oh, he totally has me trained. I have to work around what he wants if I want him to do something
Random fact: Sometimes when he wants attention and I’m in another room, he cries until I come and talk to him

Age: I’m not sure because he’s a rescue but at a guess I’d say he’s 6 years old

Silly habit: sometimes Daniel pulls all of the kitchen roll out of the bed box and sleeps curled up in it in front of the bed
How clever are they: Daniel will usually come over when called, but will also walk right past food to come see if I have any food
Do you have them trained or do they have you trained: a bit of both
Random fact: Daniel is the easiest of my degus to use for staged photos because I can give him some food and he will sit still while he eats it
I’ve started teaching the pups to spin for food and we’ve made some progress, but, well, today Ben started to do a spin but when he got halfway he came face to face with Zach and he decided that it would be easier to just steal the food out of Zach’s mouth
